A truly ultralight tool kit:

I will probably stick to carrying a backpack (or a few things in my pockets) for now, but I can imagine being in a situation where such a device as this would be handy. The novel ‘Papillon’ introduced me to the concept (of a ‘charger’) but I’m sure people who have spent any amount of time in gaols or prison camps will be familiar with the concept.

That is quite some tool kit to have inside you. The Count of Monte Christo would have been may fewer years in prison if he had had one I’m sure. I wonder how many spies managed to escape because they carried one. A visit to the museum might inform one. PS: If you think this device is something from a previous era check out the (tobacco) pipe gun (!) and the ‘heel’ knife.
