  1. Awesome – not sure when this was posted but I got both sizes from steve last year. They are fantastic gassifier stoves in the bushbuddy/solo design. Hand made out of v light titanium so extra light. The small version fits inside a toaks ultralight 650 mug/pot. But it takes at least one reload to boil 2 cups of water because it has such a small burn chamber. Still, really neat for morning tea. The larger version is sl smaller than my ti bush buddy but just as effective and weighs way less (78g). It burns longer on one load of twigs.
Well desgined gassifiers burn aussie se eucalyptus relatively smoke (and tar) free- it will smoke on the reload a lot though since these are top down burn and when you put fresh fuel in it needs a flame to restart the gassification process. But theres a simple solution – Ive found the best addition is a telescopic tube for blowing air into it. I use a piece from a cheap telescopic toasting fork from annaconda. It really kicks it back into life.
I find i dont need a windscreen – just place the stove in a sheltered area. The higher btu from wood burning really makes a difference!
Of course in the winter theae do tend to smoke a little more as the wood is wet (not like those us youtube vids which burn super dry american woods) – hard to escape that in smallstoves.

I can highly recommend steves stoves on his suluk46 site.
