Two curved plastic shoehorns, red and yellow, with 'SHOE DOCTOR' branding, set against a bright blue background.

Ultralight Shoe Horn

If you have trouble putting your hiking shoes on (as I do due to age, arthritis, back injury etc) no doubt you need an ultralight shoe horn. I sometimes use my toilet trowel but this purpose-built item probably works better/more comfortably. This Shoe Doctor 17cm/17 grams Shoe Horn works very well and is available from a range of stockists from about A$8. We have one each of each colour (red/yellow) so we don’t fight over them. They recently went with us for two weeks (plus) on the EBC and came in very handy indeed with our new Topo Boots which are difficult to put on if you are old and stiff (as we are) – but (both are) highly recommended.
